Has your airbag been recalled? Check this link

Monday, November 2, 2015by  Jon Osterberg

If you’ve bought a used car since model year 2000, take note.
More than 19 million vehicles have been affected by 44 safety recalls involving Takata airbags. Automakers reached out to the original car buyers, but they’re unable to contact owners of vehicles that already have changed hands.
Defective airbags have been found in many popular makes and models, including BMW, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GM, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, and Toyota.
The good news: Owners can use the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) VIN look-up tool to search and see if their vehicles are affected.
