UW Spokane opens with tribute to WSU’s Floyd

The University of Washington opened its Spokane center yesterday, which will serve medical students, alumni, and prospective students.
Spokane native Jerry Baldasty, interim provost for the UW, helped cut the ribbon and paid tribute to WSU President Elson Floyd, who died June 20 at age 59.
The UW facility at Main Avenue and Brown Street is a former visitors center, situated about halfway between WSU’s Spokane campus and Riverfront Park. See the Spokesman-Review story.
