Adaptive Sports Storms the Hardwood

Tuesday, September 13, 2011by  WALLY Team

Another championship run is underway for the Seattle Storm. Friday's victory over the Mercury extended the team's winning streak to three games, and Sunday's 81-70 win over the Chicago Sky in the regular season finale kept the momentum rolling heading into the Western Conference Semifinals.

The Storm put on a show in both games and look poised for another title run.

And at halftime of Friday's game, fans were treated to another can't-miss performance.

Seattle Adaptive Sports' adult basketball team took to the court for a short scrimmage. Both squads made dazzling plays and showed Storms fans they could play some serious basketball too!

Seattle Adaptive Sports is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting active lifestyles for those with limited mobility. The crowd really enjoyed watching these athletes compete.

Be sure to root on the Storm this Thursday, Sept. 15 against the Mercury. For more information about Seattle Adaptive Sports, how to get involved and upcoming events in your area, visit their website.
