Beavers to dine with Obama on Thanksgiving

Friday, November 16, 2012by  Jon Osterberg

The Oregon State Beavers basketball team will enjoy a private lunch at the White House on Thanksgiving day.

The Beavers will be in Washington, D.C., for a service project, and will combine that with a White House visit. The President is a basketball junkie known to play in skilled pickup games. Former Chicago Bulls star Scottie Pippin said once after playing with Obama, “He’s got a smooth game.” Read The Oregonian article.
