Farmers market their goods throughout NW

Friday, July 5, 2013by  Jon Osterberg

Local fruits and veggies are ripe and waiting for you.
Farmers markets thrive throughout the Northwest, in tiny towns (Chewelah, Madras) as well as big cities (Seattle’s Pike Place Market, Portland’s Cedar Mill Farmers Market). After a long absence, a farmer’s market has returned to Fife. North Puget Sound has them scattered across the region, and Yakima’s downtown market has drawn loyal crowds for years.
You might be surprised at the total number of robust farm stands across the Northwest. Find them on these market locaters provided by the Washington State Farmers Market Association and the Oregon Explorer.
