NW states among best for teen drivers

NBC News reported recently on the best and worst states for teen drivers, noting WalletHub's findings on key metrics like cost of car repairs, impaired-driving laws, and teen-driver fatalities.
   Northwest states ranged from Oregon, ranked No. 4, to Washington at No. 9 and Idaho at No. 37. The best overall states? New York, Hawaii, and Illinois.
   Some noteworthy findings:

  • Lowest teen driver fatalities per licensed teen drivers: Washington is No. 5, while neighbor Montana is No. 46.
  • Highest average cost of car repairs: California ranks behind only New Jersey.
  • Oregon ranks 3rd for safety conditions and driving laws.
