Results are in for crash tests on small cars, and the Mini Cooper Countryman is the only one to earn a good rating.
The nonprofit Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tested 12 cars for overlap front crashes. Five earned an acceptable rating, two were rated marginal, and four got poor ratings.
Altogether, IIHS now has evaluated 32 small cars for front crash protection, with 19 deemed “good” or “acceptable” and 13 rated “marginal” or “poor.”
The electric Chevy Volt is the only car in its test group to earn a Top Safety Pick+ award. Read The Detroit News article.
