Stevens Pass takes a pounding from above

Last week we reported the Northwest snowpack was rebounding to near-normal levels.
   Now, we have proof: Stevens Pass reported a whopping 160-inch snowfall for the month of February.
   Think that’s a lot? The monthly record at Stevens is 226 inches, which fell in February 1999.
   Farmers hope that March, typically a snowy month in the Cascades, will bring storms that help fill reservoirs to capacity with the spring thaw. Read the Spokesman-Review blog.
