Carolers spread holiday cheer at Figgy Pudding

dog in front of PEMCO booth at the competitionOn a chilly December night without a soul in sight, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse! That was until the WALLY team, joined by thousands of people, stepped onto the streets of Seattle to enjoy the musical sounds of the Great Figgy Pudding Street Corner Caroling Competition. The sounds of holiday cheer didn't distract the WALLY team from their very important task of passing out ballots for spectators to vote for the PEMCO People’s Choice Award.

We couldn’t help but notice one group that caught our attention, the Starbucks Chorus. We found this talented group right outside none other than … a Starbucks! Their angelic voices kept all the Super Long Coffee Orderers entertained while they waited in line for their coffee.

This year marks the 17th year that the Starbucks Chorus has participated in the Great Figgy Pudding Street Corner Caroling Competition. All of the participants are volunteer singers who practice during their lunch hour at the corporate office. This year has been very special for the group since they had recently returned from Los Angeles, where they got to showcase their talent on the NBC show, “The Voice.” Amazingly, this group raised over $40,000 at Figgy Pudding, making them the top fundraising team! Way to go Starbucks Chorus!
