Seasoned local Scoommuter tells his tale

Friday, January 1, 2010by  Krysta Morley

Frank Kuzmanich on his scooterFrank Kuzmanich was the definition of cool when he rode into the Scooter Insanity Rally in Seattle on his matte black 2013 Vespa GTS 300 Super Sport. He looked comfortable riding on the sleek two-wheel scooter, like he had been doing it all his life. So we wanted to find out Frank’s story, since he looked like a Scoommuter , who was born to ride.

WALLY Team: How old were you when you started riding?

Frank: Probably about ten or twelve.

WALLY Team: What was your first scooter?

Frank: A four-horse Bonanza mini bike.

WALLY Team: What got you into riding scooters?

Frank: I grew up with a lot of trails and woods and nice places to ride. Everybody was doing it.

WALLY Team: Do you have any tips for amateur riders?

Frank: Be safe. When you ride in a group, stagger.

WALLY Team: What do you want to do in the future with your scooter?

Frank: Not lay it down. I have three scooters – I’ve only had this one about a month. I just want to be safe.

You heard it from Frank first: stagger when you ride in groups and do your best to be safe! After Frank’s wise words, the WALLY Team was ready to jump onto some scooters and take a ride on the open road. Ride on, Northwest!
