Rain pours, the wind whips your hair, and the temperature plunges to the point where scarves are no longer optional, but this surely didn’t stop Seattle Sounders fans over the weekend. The green and blue scarves were out in full force for Saturday’s epic match-up between Impact de Montréal and the hometown heroes, Sounders FC. The weather couldn’t put a damper on all the excitement surrounding the home opener at CenturyLink Field!
We were there right alongside our familiar Sounders friends as we kicked off our 2013 Foos Cup tournament and snapping souvenir photos for a few hours before the match.
Team Twilight Nation clinched the top spot on our leader board with 23 goals. And, although this pair might look like fierce "Twihards," we feel like we we should point out their young friend and cheerleader was the inspiration behind their team name. :)

We love capturing pictures of fans who stop by our booth, and this year we are excited to extend our photo program to Autograph Alley. That’s right, we’re moving inside after the game to snap pictures of 50 lucky young fans with some of their favorite players at Autograph Alley! This week featured young-gun Andrew Duran and the ferocious veteran Osvaldo “Ozzie” Alonso. You might not expect it, but for guys who tear it up on the field, like Andrew and Ozzie, they really enjoy taking photos with their young fans. It just goes to show how much these guys appreciate their fan base and all the support Seattle has given them!

Although the Sounders didn’t get the win this time, it was a hard-fought opening match and the team put on a great show, as always. Not to worry, the Sounders will have another opportunity to grab the first win of the season on the 16th when they take on the Portland Timbers. Rain or shine, you better believe the WALLY team will be there for this classic MLS rivalry game.
